Sable Winds Project Announced

The Municipality of the District of Guysborough (MODG) will Make Bid as an Independent Power Producer for Sable Wind Project
MODG will be submitting a bid to the Renewable Energy Administrator to develop a 13.8 megawatt wind energy project near the Canso/Hazel Hill area, a project that will be known as Sable Wind. The Sable Wind project will create jobs and other economic opportunities during the construction phase and ongoing operations. The residents of MoDG will also benefit from increased tax revenue and revenues from the sale of energy over a 20 year period and beyond. Sable Wind is a progressive step into the renewable energy future and an exciting opportunity to breathe life into that vision.
