Beaches
Our many beaches, which dot a natural, rugged coastline, offer unlimited opportunities for exploring, swimming, or simply relaxing.
Many of our coves and inlets, at one time have been home to famous explorers or have an historic significance attached to them. Relax to the sound of waves as they hit the shoreline, or join them for a refreshing swim. To experience the divine taste of Nova Scotia’s shellfish, you might want to try your hand at clam digging. Before going, be sure to contact the Department of Fisheries for suitable areas, at one of the following numbers: Canso: (902) 366-2004; Guysborough: (902) 533-3408; or Sherbrooke: (902) 522-2666.
