The regulation-size ice surface at the Canso Arena is in operation from November to April. Various other activities are scheduled at the facility during the off months. It is equipped with eight dressing rooms and a large, heated viewing room, where spectators can enjoy watching the action on the ice. Two rooms are set aside for use by Youth Clubs, the Canso Flying Figures and Canso & Area Minor Hockey.
The St. Mary's RECPLEX is located across from the St. Mary's Academy in Sherbrooke. The RECPLEX is a multi-purpose recreational facility that also houses an artificial ice surface.

Complete fitness centre with a variety of cardiovascular and weight-training machines. Located on the lower floor of Chedabucto Place Family of Schools. Fitness centre is equipped with air conditioning, private change facilities and individual shower and lockers. Other facilities include outdoor heated swimming pool, lighted tennis courts, soccer field, and lighted ball field. Variety of memberships available. The Fanning Fitness Centre has been open since October 2006 in the Fanning Education Centre, Hazel Hill. Modern equipment and knowledgeable staff welcome users. The Fanning Fitness Centre is also operated by the Municipality of Guysborough Recreation Department - 902-533-2088.
Opened in September 2007, the St. Mary's Fitness Centre, located in St. Mary's Academy,Sherbrooke, is equipped with the latest exercise equipped and professionally trained staff. A variety of memberships are available for families and individuals including students and seniors.

The Chedabucto Curling Club is located in Boylston on Route #16, five miles from Guysborough. The facility houses two sheets of ice, which are generally ready by November and in use until late April. There are men's, ladies', and mixed leagues. A junior program is sponsored and bonspiels are hosted on various weekends throughout the season.

Mulgrave Multi-Purpose Courts
The multi-purpose courts are located on Church Street in Mulgrave. This multi-purpose facility has an outdoor basketball court and two tennis courts.
Seasonal outdoor heated pool located at Chedabucto Family of Schools. Various swimming programs are coordinated by the Municipal Recreation Department during the summer months. Mulgrave Community Pool
The community outdoor pool is open for the summer months, they offer swimming lessons, pool rental, as well as regularly scheduled swims.
