The Guysborough County Community Access Network became incorporated in March 2003, and was designed to eliminate some of the challenges faced by the community access sites throughout the county. The object of the society is:
To provide affordable, inclusive and adequate access to the internet for residents of Guysborough County
To coordinate the activities of a Regional Working Group of Community Access
To Champion the development of information technology infrastructure and activity in the county
Under the direction of Industry Canada 's provincial partner, the Nova Scotia Office of Economic Development, present and future CAP Sustainability Funding is administered by the provinces Regional Workings Groups.
